Special Katanas, black laqued wood scabbard, black and colour handle, Differentially hardened by traditional clay-wrapping technique. The hardness of the Mune is 43 HRC Rockwell, and the Ha (blade edge) is 60 HRC Rockwell.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EACH PIECE :

Sugata (Blade style):
- Hand-forged curved blade with Bohi (groove) and Chu-Kissaki tip. Spring steel (C55Si7). The hardness of the Mune and of the Ha (blade edge) is medium value 55° HRC Rockwell. The blade spine is iori-mune, the edge is without Niku. (cutting sharp blade).
- Dimensions:
  - Nagasa (blade length from Habaki): 28 or 27 inch.
  - Sori (curvature): ca. 0,6 inch.
  - Moto-Kasane (Thickness): ca. 5/16 inch.
  - Saki-Haba : 24 mm.
  - Moto-Haba: 32 mm.
  - Balance point (measured from Habaki): ca.10,5 cm for 27 inch and 11 cm for 28 inch.
- Nakago (tongue) with Mei (inscription) according to the tradition.

Fuchi-Kashira (Cap):
- Beautifully carved. Carbon steel (C45). Steel oxidized, color of the picture.
Tsuka (Grip):
- Wood grip, adapted to the tongue. Length 28 cm.
Tsuka-ito (handle wrap):
- Premium-cotton. Tight.
Samé:
- white ray skin.
2 Menuki:
- Brass, hand polished. Dragonfly shape. One each side, traditional mounting of menuki.
Habaki:
- Old Brass color. Made in 1 piece.
Seppa:
- Copper.
2 Mekugi:
- Bamboo wood, based upon the traditional method to seat the pins. The 2 mekugi-ana are drilled diagonal and conical into the tongue. The mekugi are fitted from opposite side.
Tsuba (Guard):
- Carbon steel (C45), hand polished. Steel oxidized, aged color.
Saya (Scabbard):
- Selected white wood. Black lacquered. Curved according to the Sori. Saya with kurikata and 2 shitodome to hold the Obi.
Sageo:
- Black Aged
Total Weight:
- 1136 gr. for 27 inch and 1140 for 28 inch without Saya.
